Calm, cool, and collected

Sales, Bargains, and deals, Oh my! Fellow Long Beach classmate shares with us the items that live in his closet and revelas how affordable they really are. As a college student, I too, feel the pains of burnt pockets, which are the epitome of our college life story. California has a range of fashions and styles existing, in particular, Long Beach State's campus is a culture of its own. Fashion is constantly thriving in every direction.

"Moderate, cheap, and fierce!" are the three words to describe Erick Nunez' personal fashion and style. He loves shopping for the best deals that are inexpensive. Not over-doing it is an important advice he offers. It's appropriate to keep outfits moderate and not "over-the-top." Fierce because he is a fashion enthusiast, willing to keep things "fresh to death." He is a sophomore at California State University, Long Beach, daily, he is dressed in fashionable outfits that were complimented by good price tags. Nunez is a Sociology major and a minor in Fashion Merchandizing. Summer baby Nunez was born on August 17, 1990, also a Los Angeles and South Central native. He considers himself both fashionable and stylish because not only does he keep up with fashion trends, but he personally likes to style. Sales are a big reason of why we should shop. The biggest inspiration of the outfits Nunez wears is the sales. If it's on sale, he will be sure to buy it. He says that even if he doesn't think it wouldn't look right, he would still purchase it. His reason behind that is because he said it just doesn't hurt to have it in your closet. It's through these photos this Southern Californian reveals his personality in the styles he rocks. Calm, cool, and collected best represents his personality and his version of style.

For a beautiful sunny day in Long Beach, California, we'll end with a free spirited outfit that will keep you cool, unique, and trendy. What's even more significant about this outfit is that there are three pieces that were self-made. Not only is Nunez refreshingly stylish, but his creativity is also expressed. His fashion icon in today's media is Marc Jacobs and any other male artists that are metrosexual. "Fashion" to him are, "Clothes that make you feel amazing." An advice he would give to anybody looking to change or "spice up" their wardrobe is to "Make it your own." In this particular wardrobe, Nunez is wearing a $3 fedora from Buffalo Exchange. For those of you not familiar with Buffalo Exchange, it's a vintage store that buys pre-worn clothes and re-sells it for a cheaper price. You may find some great deals there. The white v-neck from American Apparel was just $12. The creativity starts within these old vintage jeans that were bleached by Nunez, himself, and were previously owned by his sister. The necklace was made from old jewelry and the watch was from a vintage place for $4. He is wearing vintage high top boots from Walmart (previously mentioned). "Clothes are there to express yourself. If you can't afford it that's fine. Make it your own and work the fuck out of the outfit," Nunez said enthusiastically. On that note, let's shop for great bargains and work the streets of Long Beach as our personal runway.
